Is it safe to work out after a night of hardcore drinking? I want to work out but I feel like I have a hangover and dehydrated. If I drink lots of water during, will it be OK? |
It's never hurt me before but you may see a decrease in performance due to lack of proper tissue oxygenation and of course dehydration. You've already stated that you'll drink plenty of fluids so that's that.
You may also see a difference in your energy levels because of the alcohol and its relationship to sugar in the blood and brain.
As long as you don't have issues with high blood pressure it should be safe.A little Gatorade and one aspirin works for me.One time about six years ago I was actually still drunk when I got there.I squatted 485 pounds at competition depth on that day.I was pretty stupid for doing that so I'm not recommending it |
What is the most hardcore drink you have had, or invented? Its hard to stomach the most basic alcoholic drinks sometimes, but I want to know what is the absolute extreme you have had or made.
Here is mine. One night at a party, a friend and I only had Absolute and Jack Daniels. We decides to mix the two in one gnarly drink. He gave it the name "Rusty Nails", I don't know if he came up with the name or someone else. Either way, it was the hardest drink, other than Grain, that I have had!!! |
sigh, a Steve-O shot.
Snort salt, take a shot of tequila, get lime squeezed into your eye, and then get smacked in the face. |
Soft or Hardcore Drinks? Myself and a couple of friends [my boyfriend included] are planning a party. We range in age from 14-16, and my brother is also having a party that same day, he is in his early 20's. He drinks hardcore liqour, and if we have our party, we will be drinking, but my question is, should we get them to get some sfoter stuff for us, or take the hard stuff? need answers ASAP please =] |
| Well...to each their own, but I would stick with the softer stuff, there is much less of a risk of alcohol poisoning with that stuff, and since you guys are so young, and small, the risk of alcohol poisoning is high for you...be careful though, drinking might be cool and everything, but there is a reason the age is 21. |
Do I drink Hydroxycut Hardcore even when I don't go to the gym? I just bought MuscleTech's Hydroxycut Hardcore in leu of starting a rigorous diet and workout routine. I plan on going to the gym from 3 to 4 days. My question is, should I still take the regular dosage of the pills even on the days I don't go to the gym? The workers at GNC didn't really have an answer and the box doesn't say. |
Okay so I'm going to manufacture a product called Hydroxycut and say that it causes weight loss.
In 2003 I am going to get sued and lose for making the false claims that my product is a 'clinically proven fat burner"
Then in May of 2009 the FDA is going to come in and shut me down for making unsubstantiated claims again and force me to repay $30 million to customers I sold the unproven product, including the ones with liver damage and the family of the one person that died from using the product.
Now I'm going to lay low for a bit and "reformulate" a product that now contains nothing more than herbs, spices, and mostly caffeine.
Now in July of 2010 the FTC is going to fine me $5.5 million for claiming my product not only causes weight loss but also treats or prevents colds, flu, allergies, and hay fever. Wow!
And yet current law still allows then to operate.
Now after 6 months I'm going to launch a huge ad blitz with a lot of "trick" language that lets me continue to sell a product with absolutely no clinical evidence or documentation.
What could go wrong with this product?
Why, because people are desperate to lose weight and there will always be someone there to sell them a "quick fix remedy" that doesn't work. The $60 billion weight loss industry is just too lucrative and profitable for these guys to stay away.
If any of this stuff worked, why would 2/3 of US adults be overweight or obese?
Now, do you think it will for for you?
These supplement manufacturers are using humans (you) as guinea pigs with these unapproved products.
As long as no one gets sick or dies, or they don't get fined or shut down, they will continue to make and peddle this crap under current law.
They don't care whether it works or not as long as they get your money.
Possible side effects
Arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat)
Heart complications
Jaundice (yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes)
Kidney problems
Unexplained headaches and dizziness
Excessive fatigue
Loss of appetite
Restlessness, anxiety
Nausea, vomiting
Seizures
Good choice. |
Should I take protein while taking hydroxycut hardcore? I'm currently focus on loosing weight but also wish to gain some muscle. So i taking hydroxycut hardcore everyday and drink protein shake after workout. But I heard some people say that protein is a weight gaining supplement, i even heard someone said lifting weight is not recommended for weight lose.
I'm confuse, So Should I take protein while taking hydroxycut hardcore? |
Regardless of any other "supplement" that you take, you must always injest proteins, preferably complete proteins. Your body needs these to break down into amino acids and then use for protein synthesis. This is not just for muscle building but for many other functions throughout the body.
If you do not injest complete proteins, your body will go into what is known as a catabolic state which will lead to further muscle loss and fat accumulation.
Before I go further, you need to change the terminology within your statement and although it may just seem like words, there is a huge difference. You focus should be on FAT loss, not weight loss. With fat loss you are going to be concentrating on dropping your body fat percentage whereas in weight loss you are not concerned where the weight comes from. As a result you could put yourself in even a more unhealthy state by focusing on weight loss than by focusing on fat loss.
Take for example you start out at 200# with a body fat percentage of 30%. If you were to focus on weight loss instead of fat loss...
Before:
200# @ 30% bf
140# lean mass
60# fat mass
After:
175# @ 30% bf
122.5# lean mass
52.5# fat mass
So out of 25# lost, 17.5# were from muscle and only 7.5# were from fat. The muscle loss will result in a descrease in metabolism as the body does not need to feed as much muscle any more - which means that you will have to work that much harder to keep the "weight" off. Result - viscous circle.
To address the related myths...
-- Protein is not a weight gain supplement. Weight gain supplements will be very high in carbs, both simple and complex. You will see this in the form of (-ose) types of sugars as well as maltodetrix, a long chain sugar. These weight gainers will also add protein in order to make them an "all-in-one" drink.
-- Lifting weights is highly recommended for losing body fat. There are two main reasons for this:
1. The additional exercise will both burn calories and raise your metabolism post-workout.
2. As you build muscle mass your body is going to need to feed this new muscle. This will result in an increase in your basal metabolic rate - basically your metabolism at rest. This means that overall you will be burning more calories throughout the day.
Good Luck!! |
What is the Ultimate Hardcore Drink? What is the best drink to order out and not feel like you had just overpaid? I am reffering to Liquor drinks only. No beers Please! |
| long island ice tea or LA water |
My boyfriend is mad that I drank wine today, even though he is a hardcore vodka drinker. Is this fair? I by no means got drunk. He just said that it is not ok that I drank at all today, and I feel its hypocritical to tell me not to drink when I have seen him wasted plenty of times. I know the best thing is for no one to drink, and I don't condone drinking, but i feel that this is unfair on his part. He went to bed angry, what should i do? |
| A drunk that wants to control you by telling you not to drink is someone you would better better off getting rid of. |
Is the only difference between hardcore that you have to drink and eat food? New Vegas question? I want to beat Fallout New Vegas on hardcore and I saw that you can play on very easy with hardcore mode and was wondering if the only thing that's different about hardcore is eating and drinking? also I pre-ordered it at gamestop and got a canteen that pops up sometimes saying "you take a sip from your vault boy canteen" or something like that. Will that take care of me becoming dehydrated or not? thnx |
No, you also have to worry about getting tired in Hardcore as well, and your companions can die while they are working with you in Hardcore mode (in standard, they can only die before you ask them to join you, or after you fire them). Also, StimPacks work over time rather than healing you the full amount instantly, and they also don't heal broken limbs, this requires going to a doctor or using a doctor bag. One of the big changes in Hardcore is that ammo has weight, so you have to be careful with that.
As for the canteen, that will help you a bit but won't totally remove your dependence on other sources of water. It will allow you to go longer without drinking from other sources through. |
