Homosexuality in the black community, why arent Blacks as accepting? I am a black lesbian. Its hard that society wont accept me, but then its a slap in the face when my own race wont accept me. How are we as a race supposed to grow and become the best we can be if we cannot accept our own people, our own gay brothas and sistas? | I once heard an interesting theory on this. Someone once told me that black people are less accepting of it because after being enslaved, African Americans felt emasculated, and thus they now try to prove their masculinity nowadays to show that they aren't a lesser race. This doesn't help when homosexuality is viewed as something feminine for men.
An interesting thing to note is that before the Europeans came to Africa, a lot of Africa was not just accepting of homosexuals, but also celebrated when someone was gay. Once Europeans came in though, they enslaved the men, and forced the Christian beliefs into Africa. After being taken advantage of in such ways, the men especially would have felt a sense of hurt pride and felt not just dehumanized, but emasculated. Ironically, Europe is nowadays generally gay friendly while Africa is no longer gay friendly. Another thing to note is that Christianity isn't as strong in Europe as it used to be in Medieval times, and Christianity is ever increasing in Africa due to missionaries.
Just something to think about I guess. :\ | Black women on here how do you feel about me? I want a black woman to site on my face. I use this whole police avatar profile because I am soo insecure I look for some form of strength so this figure makes me stand out and confident on here. I have a desire to make black men looks as useless as ever so black women will be left with no choice than to give me a chance. Its not working!
My last chance is to get super rich and hope I can attract some gold digger type black women I will throw money at her to make her love me. I feel depressed because I feel I wont ever be able to get a black woman to love me for who I am and for how I look. I feel bad and pathetic just beating my meat to ebony booty and lesbian sistas websites. | 1. You do sound pathetic.
2. Why would a woman in general date you, Look at just how your describing what you want.
No one wants that, You need to change some qualities about you and about the person you want in your life. | Culturally, black women, hopefully this will give you all a sigh of relief. It's not you. It's men. Thoughts? I just came from the gay section and asked the males what color men they prefer? Although only 4 answered, it seems like they place black men at the bottom of their list. It seems when it comes to men, blacks are just unattractive and when it comes to women, blacks are most attractive. Sistas, I say diss males and go lesbian and you will succeed with flying colors like str8 black men do in the str8 community. White males, I say go gay and you will succeed with flying colors. | | Black males are attractive just fine. You have to understand that with women it is more than physical appearance that matters when dating. No matter what color you are they expect certain things about a guy. The only time they'll be less discriminating is when they're young and not yet independent. | Feminists: should we do away with the sexism in language by changing the Dictionary definition? Well, my sistas, join up! We always tell those "cave-men" MRA's to refer to Dictionary's Def of Feminism, now we would be in DEEP TROUBLES if they consult Dictionary of EVERY languages of EVERY great nations ever existed!
We start with English first, as an example:
Man-power: a certain task force for Employment=>WOMANpower!
To man something: to control some heavy, important object.=> To woman
Maneuverer => WOMANneuverer!
Governor : also use as the rudder of a big ship=> Governess
Man-hour : the hours needs to complete an important task.=> Woman-hour
Man-hole: a pit use to access the street sewage system => Woman-hole
Male- plug: electrical plug that is "proudly" project out.==>GAY plug!
Female-plug: ............................."submissive… hollowed in!==> LESBIAN plug
Man-up: to brave up => Woman down!
Mandarin: important Imperial Chinese official ==> WOMANdarin!
Mandate=> WOMANdate
Mandatory=>WOMANdatory!
Manager=> WOMANager!
Manifold=>WOMANifold
Manifest=>WOMANifest
Manipulate=>WOMANipulate!
Mania=>WOMANia!
Manor=>WOMANor!
Mansion=> WOMANsion!
Manufacture=>WOMANufacture!
Manure=> WOMANure!
Manuscript=>WOMANuscript!
etc...
And the all time hatre: "Man, Mankind" ...has been used for as long as the English language itself! (but we Political Correct folks have been successfully made its use illegal!!!
WHY are all of the important terms have been implied or have a tint of Masculinity?? My sistas! Language is the dress of thought..so it is imperative that we must control it to overthrow "Patriarchy"!!!!!
WHY are all Female names suggest something delicate, vulnerable such as flowers: Daisy, Heather, Rose, Lily...etc...such practice is popular in, well, EVERY LANGUAGES, (as a person who speak 4 languages..I can attest to that!
Or something that is praised only for beautiful, soft & submissive such as: Catherine, Veronica, Julia, Josephine, Natasha etc...I , as a woman feminist hate it!!!
Or worst, many Oriental Languages use Perfumes to name women...suggest that women should not be "heard" but people should only "feel" her present!!!
===========================
Well, my sistas, what shall we do about Masculinity entrenched in multi-levels/facets in Language(s)??? to such a degree that people use it unconsciously? | | This all looks really boring. | Is it rare for non-Black lesbians to be attracted to "aggressives"? I am talking about "aggressives" as in the women from the documentary of the same name (about Sistas and Latinas who basically live as men). | | women who choose to live their lives as "the man" of the couple is not defined by race. ask any race who has the most dominant women and they all will think its their race. love is color blind and so is being and living a gay lifestyle. why would one say "non-Black"? I am an African American lesbian female. I have been a lesbian for over 15 years. I am a femme female, but I also have an aggressive side. So to answer your question, no and yes. Figure it out. |
