Smelly feet? with the current fashion trend of wearing flat pump type shoes with no socks, my two daughters have smelly shoes and feet. any simple old fashioned remedies would be appreciated as odour eaters would be required in all their shoes which isn't practical. |
| Put their shoes in a Zip lock bag and put them in the freezer overnight. The cold from the freezer kills the bacteria that is in the shoes and making them stink. Have your daughters wash their feet with deodorant soap to help them not to sweat as much. |
Smelly feet...? I have a friend with really really smelly feet, like you can smell them from across the room. Also, her shoes, those cute new ballet flats, are so smelly that it smells like she rubs brine in her feet.
Are there any cures to smelly feet? Are there any ways to get rid of smelly shoes? I have tried Lysol, it didn't work.
Thanks. |
are the shoes old or have damaged insoles?
try changing shoes.
I this is not reason then try pouring a handfull of epsom salt in warm water and immerse feet in them for 20min. do this everyday until u get results. probably u get to see the difference next day.
(u can buy epsom salt in bulk barn or herb stores or even chemists)
her legs are sweaty . she needs the insoles which can absorb the sweat. u find them in walmart shoes section or any other shoe stores
edit added
tell her to put on clean socks/hose everytime she puts on the shoe
i mean not one pair of socks a day but several depending on how many times she takes off and puton the shoe |
Smelly Feet? Ok this is very embarrassing for me to even ask but I can't stand it anymore. I have a problem with sweaty smelly feet. I wash them all the time, and have used every powder and spray on the market, so it seems, yet they still smell. I hate to go visit anyones house where they require me removing my shoes. My husband says I am overreacting, but I can't stand it. Any ideas? And no ignorant answers, please. |
i think that u have a deficiency of zinc
u could take a zinc supplement for several days
it really works

Any remedies for getting rid of smelly feet? My dad has outrageously smelly feet, he has tried everything from rubbing alcohol to foot powder to creams, anything you can think of he has tried. (He has an office job, so he's not outside getting sweaty everyday, he just has very smelly feet)
Does anyone have any home remedies or know of any product that would actually work?
Nothing he has tried seems to work! Please Help! |
1. do not wear socks all the time. let feet air out at least at home
2. try washing them with vinegar. Really. Maybe soke them in a mixture of water and vinegar (more vinegar) |
What is the best foot powder to put in in your shoes to avoid smelly shoes/feet? I have used Dr. Scholl's & it is just average. Is there a better foot powder out there to put in your shoes to avoid smelly feet & shoes? Thx. |
| tough acting tinactin (not sure of spelling) just sound it out. |
What is a quick way to get rid of smelly feet for one night? This guy I've just started dating has a foot fetish. What is the best cure all, at least for a day for getting rid of smelly feet & making them even taste good? Thx. |
| Get a pedicure. check out your local walmart or target; they have a whole section on foot products. and also i would reccommed some foot powder. although it works better when its directly on your feet you dont want him to see your feet all white so just sprinkle some im your shoes. and dont forget about washing between your toes and scrubbing your heels to remove any dead skin. |
How do you get rid of smelly feet? I usually wear flip flops year round and I still have smelly feet. If I put on tennis shoes or other close-toed shoes then it gets absolutely horrible, the worst is in UGG's. I am a female college student and it is really awkward when I go over to someones room to hang out and I take off my shoes and my feet smell!
I don't have any obvious infections or fungi or anything that I can see. Does anyone have any suggestions to help me get rid of this problem? |
My feet definitely do this too, especially when I wear flats. I have good foot and personal hygiene like others are suggesting, but they still stunk!
Here's what you do: Find a unscented spray deodorant and spray it on your feet in the morning, especially if you are going to be wearing your uggs or whatever makes it worst. Doing this helped me sooo much! AND it is a cheap and easy thing to do every morning.
I hope this helps--I know how horrible it can be to have stinky feet :) |
How do you mask the odor of smelly feet? A relative of mine always keep complaining of the odor of smelly feet every time I return from the gym. How should I mask or cure this smelly odor of feet? |
| Medicated foot powder, odor-eater insoles, or simply baking powder (sprinkle in shoes and on feet). |
What could cause cold, smelly feet while wearing socks and shoes? I have been inside all day, never stepped out once, and I've been wearing my socks and shoes for 6 hours. My feet are suddenly cold and smelly. What could cause foot odor to be so strong you can smell it while wearing shoes? I'm wearing Hanes cotton socks, which I've bought for the last 4 years without this problem. I've had these shoes for a month and never noticed anything before. |
The usual cause of smelly feet is bacteria feeding on oils from your skin and possibly dead skin cells. Sweat contributes to the problem because the bacteria do better with moisture.
Your choice of socks is a good one. The cotton wicks moisture away from your skin, and allows some air to reach your feet. Avoid socks made of older style synthetic fibers. You can try some of the new style fibers, such as "microfiber."
You might check the inside of your shoes. When you take them off, check for traces of moisture. You might try cleaning the insides and/or spraying with disinfectant. Be sure they are thoroughly dry before wearing them again. When you take them off, take out the insoles to help them dry more.
If these suggestions don't help, try wearing different shoes.
Also, you could consider getting advice from a health care professional. If this is the result of a change in your feet, it could be a symptom of a change in your health. |
How to deal with smelly feet? I shower daily but my feet sweat which results in smelly feet. How can I deal with this without constantly having to put deodarant on them. |
| you can get deodorizing inserts for your shoes, or the aforementioned foot powder, at just about any pharmacy or drug store. |
